We are looking to replace our finance star since he’s moving into a new role. As Financial Manager at Flashbulb Games you will be part of the operations team and report directly to the CEO. On a daily basis you will work closely with our product teams. You will also interact with our owners, Nordisk Games, in terms of reporting and keeping them updated on financial performance.

Flashbulb Games is on a growth journey and we have a lot of new exciting things in motion, so to be happy here you need to enjoy working in a dynamic and evolving environment. We’re not a super finance savvy organization, so if you happen to enjoy enlightening colleagues on the wonders of finance it is a big plus.

The right candidate will help us evolve our business intelligence efforts and to make the teams more, financially, data-informed.

Budgeting, forecasting and cost controlling.

Periodical reporting of results & KPIs.

Annual report and communication with auditors.

Providing ad hoc analysis and recommendations to owners and board of directors.

Tax reporting, cash management communication.

Prepare, and in some cases present, board material.

Communication with the shared service center that takes care of parts of our financial administration.

A business degree (BSc or MSC).

Experience working with strategic planning, financial analysis, and accounting.

Comfortable acting as a sparring partner to management, providing them with financial insight.

A knack for MS Office, especially Excel & experience working with ERPs (we currently use Navision).

Strong English communication skills to demystify financial data and engage with diverse teams.

A mix of analytical skills, proficiency within BI, a collaborative spirit, and a structured approach to work.

Experience from working at a game studio, or another creatively driven company would be a big plus.

You are autonomous, structured, and good at planning your own time.

You are thorough and deliver your tasks on time.

You enjoy working on your own, making decisions, and taking ownership and responsibility for them.

You’re a natural problem solver and can identify areas of improvements in processes and find new ways of working.

You are tech savvy and enjoy leading the digital transformation and automation within finance.

You are upbeat, communicative and enjoy working with cross-disciplinary teams.

In this role, you’re not just stuck in the routine (there will of course be routines since it comes with the territory) – there’s plenty of room to grow and make your mark. You’ll get to flex your leadership muscles, spearhead finance projects, and have a real say in how we do things around here. And by bringing innovation and tech-savviness into our financial operations, you won’t only boost your own skill set but also help make Flashbulb Games evolve.

Even though this role doesn’t have any direct reports we still see it as a leadership position. To succeed as a leader, and enjoy working at Flashbulb you should be a team player with a not too big ego that thrives when you help others to achieve great work rather than making yourself seen or heard. We greatly believe that leading others, and contributing to evolving our culture, is most effective in person, meaning leaders are expected to do so in our office in Copenhagen.

At Flashbulb Games, we value work-life balance and encourage diverse perspectives. We offer a competitive salary, a pension plan, health insurance, and catered lunch. If you’re a driven and dynamic leader with a passion for gaming, please send your application to
